How Xley is Revolutionizing India's Creator Economy with AI

When influencer marketing was still finding its feet in India back in 2017, Gautam Madhavan bet early on the power of individual voices. Through his agency, Mad Influence, he helped brands navigate the uncharted world of TikTok collaborations at a time when budgets were small, and the industry was largely unorganized.
Eight years later, the Creator Economy has exploded into a multi-million-dollar industry. Yet, despite its rapid maturation, structural bottlenecks like agonizingly delayed payments, fragmented collaboration tools, and the lack of a unified space for brands and talent continue to plague the ecosystem.
To fix this gap, Madhavan launched Xley (pronounced “Zilly”) in April 2025. It is a highly automated, agentic AI marketplace engineered to bring trust, speed, and transparency to how brands, agencies, and creative professionals collaborate globally.
The Evolution: From a Festival to a Scalable Marketplace
The conceptual blueprint for Xley started to take shape during the pandemic. Madhavan realized that the market required something far more expansive than a traditional agency model.
In 2023, he launched Creators United, a massive annual festival that brought influencers, agencies, and corporate brands under one roof. While the event was highly successful, Madhavan quickly recognized that a once-a-year gathering wasn't enough to resolve the systemic friction within the broader Creator Economy.
“I need to build a marketplace for creators, which is more global, more scalable,” Madhavan recalls thinking.
This realization directly catalyzed the birth of Xley. Built entirely in-house using custom AI models trained on years of historical influencer marketing data, the platform completely automates the workflow from initial talent discovery to final campaign reporting.
Under the Hood: The Agentic AI Workflow
Xley operates as a comprehensive B2B2C marketplace that removes the friction from campaign execution. Instead of forcing marketers to spend days scrolling through media kits, Xley handles the heavy lifting via specialized AI agents.
When a brand inputs its campaign goals, demographics, and budget, Xley's AI instantly analyzes engagement, age metrics, and location to recommend the most effective creative partners. The dashboard automatically oversees negotiation, scripting assistance, legal compliance, and real-time performance tracking.
Proving the Model with Global Brands and Elite Artists
The platform's capability was immediately validated by its early adopters. One Music India—the prominent music label known for managing monumental global Punjabi superstars like AP Dhillon, Diljit Dosanjh, and Guru Randhawa—signed on as Xley's very first client.
The label utilized Xley's automated system to coordinate influencer-driven promotional campaigns for major tracks like “Katal,” “Sira,” and recent hits by Karan Aujla. By automating hyper-targeted creator outreach, the platform demonstrated how seamlessly it could generate organic, high-impact cultural moments for the entertainment sector.
Beyond the music industry, Xley’s model has attracted over 30 massive corporate brands, including Hyundai, Reliance, Warner Music, and Bosch. To date, the platform has onboarded more than 30,000 creators, boasting over 3,000 daily active users. Even more impressive: the bootstrapped startup generated over Rs 1 crore in revenue purely on the back of industry goodwill and organic product adoption, without spending a single rupee on marketing.
Tackling the Payment Crisis Head-On
For micro-influencers and top-tier celebrities alike, the most frustrating part of the digital media landscape has historically been the standard 60-to-90-day payment cycle. Xley is actively realigning the financial mechanics of the Creator Economy by introducing a secure escrow system.
Brands deposit campaign funds into escrow before production begins. Once the content is officially approved, the platform releases the funds directly to the creators within 24 hours.
"I want to build a creator-first platform that helps creators earn 20–30% of their monthly income," says Madhavan. Creators pay absolutely nothing to use the infrastructure. Instead, Xley generates revenue via a modest 5–10% platform fee per campaign alongside a scalable monthly brand subscription capped at Rs 10,000.
Demanding a Share of the Billions
The market opportunity ahead is staggering. According to data from Mordor Intelligence, the Indian influencer marketing platform sector generated $687.2 million in 2022 and is projected to skyrocket to a massive $7,146.2 million by 2030, growing at a compounding annual rate (CAGR) of 34%.
Madhavan’s target for Xley is clear: "We’re aiming to capture at least 30% of it within the next five years."
To maintain this trajectory through 2026, the Noida-headquartered startup is aggressively expanding its product capabilities. Up next is a highly anticipated affiliate marketing program launched in partnership with CashKaro and EarnKaro. The feature will allow even emerging nano-creators with as few as 5,000 followers to earn direct commissions on product sales via customized tracking links.
By continuously reducing administrative friction, securing financial transactions, and democratizing access to massive corporate partnerships, Xley is proving that the future of the Creator Economy isn't just creative- it's automated.
