How REVIVO Turned a Broken Laundry Experience into a Multi-Crore Brand

In a society where graduates from premier institutions like IITs and IIMs are often expected to pursue high-profile corporate careers strategising in boardrooms and leading multinational teams two founders chose a very different path.

Vikas Agarwal, an IIT–IIM alumnus with over a decade of experience in marketing and business development, and Khushboo Gupta, an accomplished FMS graduate with deep expertise in research, analytics, and consulting, stepped into one of India’s most overlooked and unorganised sectors: laundry and dry cleaning

Often seen as unglamorous and operationally messy, the laundry industry had remained largely unchanged for decades. But for Vikas and Khushboo, this wasn’t just a “small business category” it was a massive, everyday problem hiding in plain sight.

Laundry is a daily necessity in every household, yet the experience around it has been consistently broken: late deliveries, missing garments, inconsistent quality, and zero accountability. For them, this wasn’t merely inconvenient, it was an opportunity.

That insight became the foundation of REVIVO a modern, tech-enabled laundry brand built not just to clean clothes, but to restore trust in an essential service.

What started from scratch without funding hype or shortcuts has today grown into a multi-crore business, serving lakhs of customers across NCR, and now gearing up for aggressive national expansion.

The Problem That Sparked REVIVO

REVIVO wasn’t born in a boardroom it was born out of frustration.

Vikas and Khushboo observed that despite being a recurring service used by millions, the laundry industry lacked standardisation, technology, and professionalism. There was no reliable brand, no predictable service quality, and no customer-first mindset.

The question they kept coming back to was simple:

Why can’t laundry be reliable, tech-driven, and delightful?

That question turned into a mission to build a branded laundry experience that respects customers’ time, clothes, trust, and convenience, while also creating sustainable economics for operators on the ground.

The Minds Behind the Mission

Vikas Agarwal, Co-Founder of REVIVO, brings over 10 years of experience in corporate sales, business development, and marketing across multiple industries. Known for spotting inefficiencies in traditional businesses, he focuses on rebuilding them with modern, scalable systems. At REVIVO, Vikas leads strategy, product innovation, and customer acquisition, blending D2C marketing expertise with strong brand storytelling in a highly unorganised market.

Khushboo Gupta, Co-Founder of REVIVO and an FMS alumna, brings over 10 years of experience across research, analytics, consulting, and operations in consumer and professional services sectors. At REVIVO, she leads business development and large-scale operations, managing partnerships, supply chains, and execution to ensure consistent and reliable garment care. Her analytics-driven approach enables operational excellence and sustainable growth. Beyond REVIVO, she shares her entrepreneurial insights through her YouTube channel.

Together, their approach to building REVIVO is grounded in long-term value creation for customers through quality and convenience, for teams through empowerment, and for the ecosystem through innovation and responsible practices.

Building Through Mistakes, Not Shortcuts

Over the past four years, Vikas and Khushboo have personally handled every critical function of REVIVO marketing, operations, technology, hiring, and customer acquisition in one of India’s most trust-dependent service sectors.

The journey was far from smooth.

In the early days, an accidental deletion of their Google My Business listings resulted in a staggering ₹50 lakh revenue loss and nearly a year of recovery. Instead of breaking them, the mistake reshaped their thinking.

They rebuilt smarter diversifying customer acquisition channels, strengthening operations, understanding local customer behaviour deeply, and realising a crucial truth:

“Indian service brands scale on reliability, local presence, and trust, not technology alone.”

This hard-earned learning is now embedded into REVIVO’s franchise model, ensuring partners don’t repeat the same costly mistakes.

What REVIVO Has Built So Far

From a modest beginning, REVIVO has evolved into a full-stack laundry ecosystem.

The brand has:

  • Served lakhs of customers across Delhi, Gurgaon, and Noida

  • Built end-to-end systems covering technology, CRM, order flow, and rider enablement

  • Created strong brand recall through bold, customer-centric marketing

  • Achieved profitability with repeat usage and strong customer validation

  • Today, REVIVO stands ready for multi-city expansion, with systems designed to scale without compromising service quality.

Why Franchising Became the Growth Engine

As the brand grew, one insight became clear: local entrepreneurs understand local markets best.

REVIVO’s franchising model was designed to empower city-level operators with a proven playbook, not experiments. Franchise partners receive structured systems, technology, marketing support, customer acquisition funnels, operational training, and the credibility of a fast-growing national brand.

The focus isn’t just on expansion it’s on partner profitability and sustainability.
