boAt's Aman Gupta Backs FIG Living With New Funding

Aman Gupta has invested in FIG Living, a design-led home and living brand, through his investment firm, SailThru Ventures. The investment was announced on September 29th and comes as FIG Living expands beyond lighting into furniture and other lifestyle categories. The investment amount and valuation have not been publicly disclosed.

FIG Living Funding: What Happened?

FIG Living has secured an investment from Aman Gupta's SailThru Ventures. Before starting FIG Living, Sushant Sharma worked with Aman Gupta as Brand Manager at boAt. Today, Aman Gupta is investing in Sushant Sharma’s own brand.

FIG Living says it currently has an annual revenue run rate of around ₹12 crore. The brand also has 40,000+ consumers and approximately 20% quarter-on-quarter growth. It is targeting an annual revenue run rate of 18 crore after the upcoming festive season.

FIG Living will use the fresh capital to expand its retail footprint and launch new products. The company also plans to pursue global design collaborations.

While talking about funding, Aman Gupta said that FIG’s combination of design, product innovation, manufacturing capability and Sharma’s brand-building instincts made the business interesting to back.

“FIG was born from a simple belief that Great design should not be a privilege. Gupta’s experience, network and understanding of Indian consumers would be valuable as the company enters its next phase.", says Sushant Sharma

What Does FIG Living Do?

FIG Living is an Indian brand dedicated to design-led home and living items. Its product range includes table lamps, portable lamps, pendant lights, wall lights and floor lamps.

Since then, the company has grown to include side tables, accent furniture, and tabletop items, aiming to evolve into a more comprehensive home and lifestyle brand.

The company's products are manufactured in India through an affiliated facility in Greater Noida. FIG Living says it develops products in-house and has secured more than 36 design patents. Around 80% of its portfolio follows knock-down or DIY formats, which allows products to be assembled at home and can simplify transportation and logistics.

What Will FIG Living Use the Funding For?

FIG Living has highlighted various sectors for development:

The company has already started moving beyond lamps by introducing furniture and tabletop products.

What Is FIG Living's Valuation?

FIG Living's valuation has not been publicly disclosed following the latest investment from Aman Gupta's SailThru Ventures. The investment amount and equity stake have also not been disclosed in the available reports.

Therefore, there is currently no reliable publicly confirmed figure for FIG Living's post-money valuation.

What Is Next for FIG Living?

The next phase of FIG Living's growth will focus on expanding its presence beyond lighting. The company wants to build a larger home and lifestyle portfolio while continuing to use design as a central part of its brand proposition.

Its stated ₹18 crore annual revenue run-rate target after the festive season will also provide a measurable milestone for the business. The expansion into offline experiences, distribution and additional categories could determine how successfully FIG Living evolves from a lighting brand into a broader home and living company in India.
