EV Startup E3 Electric.Ai Raises Rs 100 Crore Ahead of E3 TRION Scooter Launch

In a strong show of confidence in India’s electric two-wheeler sector, Bengaluru-based startup E3 Electric.Ai has raised Rs 100 crore in a Series A funding round. The round was led by BluVenture Holdings, with Rs 75 crore in equity and Rs 25 crore in debt.
The fresh capital will primarily fuel product engineering, innovation, and the upcoming commercial launch of the company’s first product, the E3 TRION, an intelligent family electric scooter.
Founded by Industry Veteran
E3 Electric.Ai was founded in September 2024 by P Sanjeev, a seasoned EV professional who previously held senior roles at TVS Motor and Greaves Electric Mobility’s Ampere business. His deep industry experience is clearly reflected in the company’s strategic approach.
The E3 TRION is positioned as a practical, everyday scooter targeted at families currently using 110cc petrol models. It features a modular architecture that allows multiple variants to share the same chassis. This design enables future battery upgrades without requiring a complete vehicle redesign, a significant advantage for long-term ownership.
AI-Powered Intelligence
What sets E3 TRION apart is its heavy focus on intelligence and user experience. The scooter incorporates AI systems that analyse vehicle data in real-time to provide:
Predictive maintenance alerts
Advanced battery health monitoring
Route optimisation suggestions
Enhanced safety features
Sanjeev believes the Indian EV two-wheeler market has moved past basic demand challenges. He identifies four critical issues the industry must solve: range anxiety, service breakdowns, safety, and financing/resale value.
Strong Supply Chain and Go-to-Market Strategy
E3 Electric.Ai has built a robust supplier network, partnering with over 60 vendors while retaining full ownership of its product design and intellectual property. This approach gives the startup greater control over quality and innovation.
The E3 TRION is expected to launch first in Bengaluru, followed by a phased rollout across southern India. The company plans to expand nationwide through a dealership model. In its first year, E3 Electric.Ai aims to enter around 93 markets and establish more than 100 dealerships.
Why This Funding Matters
India’s electric two-wheeler segment is becoming increasingly competitive, with both new startups and established players fighting for market share. E3 Electric.Ai’s successful Series A round at this early stage signals strong investor belief in its technology-first approach and experienced founding team.
The combination of modular design, AI capabilities, and a clear focus on solving real customer pain points positions E3 TRION as a thoughtful contender in the family scooter segment.
The Road Ahead
With the fresh capital in hand, E3 Electric.Ai is now racing toward its official product launch. The coming months will be crucial as the startup moves from development to real-world execution, building a dealer network, ramping up production, and proving its technology in the hands of actual customers.
If E3 can successfully address the core issues of range, reliability, safety, and ownership experience, it could carve out a meaningful share in India’s rapidly growing electric mobility market.
For now, all eyes are on Bengaluru, where the E3 TRION is expected to make its debut and set the tone for the brand’s future.
