Groww begins US Stocks rollout on its platform with select customers

Groww has started rolling out US stock investing on its platform, giving select customers access to US-listed stocks and ETFs as the fintech company expands into global investing.
The rollout is currently being conducted in a beta phase, with access limited to a selected group of users. As per a Moneycontrol article, Groww is expected to expand access to its broader customer base over the coming weeks.
Groww US Stocks Feature Is Currently in Beta
Groww has begun making its US Stocks feature available to select customers through its app.
According to Groww’s support page, the service is currently in the beta testing phase and is available only to a limited set of customers. The company says access will be expanded to all users soon.
The new offering allows investors to buy and sell US-listed companies through the Groww platform.
What US Stocks Can You Buy Through Groww?
The platform provides access to more than 10,000 US stocks and ETFs, including some of the world's largest technology companies such as Apple, Nvidia, Amazon, Tesla, Meta and Alphabet.
Groww also supports fractional investing, allowing investors to purchase a fraction of a US stock rather than an entire share.
This could make global investing more accessible to Indian retail investors, particularly those looking to invest in US technology and other global sectors.
Groww Gets GIFT City Approval for Global Investing
Groww's latest US stocks offering comes through the GIFT City route.
The company received approval from the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) to offer international investing through GIFT City. Groww has also partnered with Alpaca Securities, a US brokerage infrastructure provider, for the new offering.
Groww’s current US stock pricing page identifies Groww IFSC Private Limited as the entity offering the service and lists its Global Access Provider and broker-dealer registrations.
Groww Faces Competition in US Stock Investing
Groww is entering a growing market for international investing in India.
Zerodha, Angel One and Upstox have also received approvals to offer international investing through GIFT City. Upstox has already launched its US stock and ETF offering.
Platforms such as INDmoney, Vested Finance and smallcase have also been part of India's existing global investing ecosystem.
With several major Indian brokerages entering the segment, access to US equities is becoming increasingly integrated into mainstream investing platforms.
Why Groww Is Entering Global Investing Again
Groww's US stocks launch comes as Indian investors show increasing interest in global companies and sectors such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, electric vehicles and technology.
