What Harajuku Tokyo Café Offers
Founded in 2021 by Gaurav Kanwar (London School of Economics alumnus) and operated by Craftpac Hospitality, the brand runs two formats:
Harajuku Tokyo Café: casual dine-in focused on Japanese street food and experience dining (conveyor-belt sushi, ramen, jiggly pancakes).
Harajuku Bakehouse: quick-service bakery that now drives more than 30% of total revenue.
Outlets currently operate in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai. The brand processes over 1,000 orders per day across dine-in and delivery. Mumbai, which began operations in July 2025, already accounts for 25% of the revenue.
Growth Since the Seed Round
Since the August 2025 seed funding, Harajuku has doubled both its outlet count and overall revenue. The Bakehouse format has emerged as a strong growth engine, and the company sells more than 1,000 loaves of bread weekly via quick-commerce platforms in Delhi-NCR.
How the $3 Million Will Be Used
The proceeds will fund:
Opening 10 new outlets over the next two quarters across Delhi-NCR and Mumbai.
First-time entry into Bengaluru and Chandigarh.
Setting up central kitchens in Mumbai and Bengaluru by December 2026 to supply Bakehouse outlets and support packaged food production for western and southern India.
Strengthening teams and operating capabilities.
Founder and CEO Gaurav Kanwar stated the company is targeting ₹100 crore in revenue in the current financial year.
