Scimplify Startup Background: Founders and Company Overview
Scimplify was founded in 2023 in Bengaluru by Sachin Santhosh, Salil Srivastava, Dheeraj Dhingra, and Hersh Manek. The company is a science-led platform that helps manufacturers access and scale specialty chemicals and critical materials.
Scimplify solves a key industry bottleneck: converting laboratory discoveries and industrial materials into high-purity, commercially viable products at scale. It combines in-house scientific expertise with a manufacturing partner network of more than 500 facilities to deliver end-to-end solutions from discovery and process development to production and delivery.
What Is Scimplify SciNode AI Platform?
Scimplify’s proprietary AI platform, SciNode, powers synthesis route prediction, factory production simulation, and coordination of research, quality, sourcing, and regulatory workflows.
The SciNode AI platform helps compress typical development timelines from 12-18 months to as little as two months in some cases. It matches customer requirements with qualified manufacturing partners, optimizes processes, and supports quality control. About 90% of current manufacturing takes place in India, with expansion planned for the U.S. and Japan.
Scimplify Growth Metrics: Revenue Run Rate and Current Scale 2026
Scimplify serves more than 1,000 customers across over 40 countries in life sciences, agriculture, industrial chemicals, electronics, energy, semiconductors, defense, and critical materials. Customers include Henkel, BASF, TDK, Dr. Reddy’s, and Coromandel.
Key Scimplify growth metrics include:
Annualized revenue run rate of approximately $200 million (tripled year-over-year)
U.S. annualized revenue grew to about $60 million from $10 million a year earlier
Customers outside India now account for more than half of revenue
Target of $400 million annualized revenue run rate within the next year
Roughly 40% of revenue from high-value segments such as AI, semiconductors, and defense
How Scimplify Will Use $25 Million Funding
The $25 million Scimplify funding will primarily expand research laboratories, processing capabilities, and manufacturing capacity focused on rare earth and critical metals purification, semiconductor chemicals, and battery chemicals.
Approximately $7.5 million is allocated for U.S. expansion, including building a local manufacturing network and qualifying American partners for technology transfer, pilot, and validation batches. Additional investment will strengthen the SciNode AI platform. The company is also extending its network into Japan.
