The greatest expectations spy action sequel by Ranveer Singh , Dhurandhar: The Revenge is already redefining the Bollywood box office even before a single regular performance has been aired in India.

The Aditya Dhar directed movie has already surpassed 50 crores in global presales before the opening weekend of the movie - and Aditya Dhar has done so seven days before the release date of the movie on March 19. What is even more mind-blowing is that the regular ticket sales for the entire India had not officially established when this figure was surpassed.

Overseas Markets ahead of the pack

The movie has already raised around USD 3.50 million (app. 32.5 crore) in overseas pre-sales during its opening weekend. The United States is in the lead followed by having almost USD 2.25 million in advance bookings, which includes about USD 800,000 in premiere shows alone, and thus making it one of the best advance booking performances by a Bollywood film in that market. The film is enjoying an unheard of boom in Canada and the pre-sales in Canada on the weekend are already on a path towards 1 million CAD - the largest trend ever registered of an Indian movie in the area. It is now locked with a $10 million opening weekend in North America, the first Bollywood movie and only the third Indian title, after Baahubali 2 and Kalki 2898 AD, to do so. There are other markets that are equally impressive. More than 10,000 tickets have been sold in Germany, which is in comparison with Pathaan, and the United Kingdom has registered around GBP 150K, which is comparable to initial sales of Jawan.

India Numbers Still Building

In India, the movie has sold over four lakh tickets to its premiere shows that are to be held on 18 th March, thus earning the film about 21.50 crore in precedent screenings only. And since full-fledged domestic advance sales have already commenced, the total global pre-sales are likely to easily reach ₹150 crore in the days before release.

Bollywood has made a historic milestone

Dhurandhar: The Revenge is the third Indian feature film to get Dolby release in the United States after RRR and Pushpa 2: The Rule. The foreign pre-sales have already exceeded the overall opening weekend of its predecessor, and this is indicative of the amount to which the franchise has soared in foreign prominence. The movie also comes out in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam and features Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna and Sara Arjun.

Numbers like these make Dhurandhar: The Revenge* not just a Bollywood release but it is coming out to be a complete event across the globe.
