A New Way to Cook for a Busy Generation

Imagine craving a healthy meal after a long day but not having the time to cook or search endlessly for nutritious options. This is the everyday challenge faced by many urban consumers. As food delivery apps become a part of daily life, people are also becoming more conscious about what they eat. They want convenience, but they also want healthier choices.

This is exactly where companies like Curefoods step in. Technology, centralized kitchens and multiple digital food brands, Curefoods has created a system that delivers healthy, tasty meals directly to customers’ doors. Their innovative cloud kitchen model is not just about food delivery, it is about reshaping how people access healthy meals in modern cities.

The Man Behind The Brand

Unlike most people who come from business families, Ankit Nagori, the Founder of Curefoods, wanted to build something of his own, something big and meaningful. He wanted to carve a niche for himself in the business world while creating a larger impact.

That is why he jumped into the world of entrepreneurship right after his graduation from IIT Guwahati. Launched a startup, Youthpad in 2007 offering a platform to many. Since that plan didn’t take off, he later joined Flipkart.

In 2016, Nagori again stepped into entrepreneurship. With a smarter gameplan, he launched Cure.fit alongside Mukesh Bansal, Founder of Myntra. Two great minds nurtured the idea, writing a wonderful success story.

Curefoods was built on a simple but powerful idea: create and scale food brands using a network of cloud kitchens. Instead of running traditional dine-in restaurants, the company focuses on delivery-first brands that operate from centralized kitchens. In 2020, Curefit announced that its food vertical, EatFit would be an independent entity from then on, led by Nagori.

Today, Curefoods claims to be the second-largest cloud kitchen player in India in terms of footprint. Along with EatFit, the company houses brands like CakeZone, Nomad Pizza, Great Indian Khichdi, Sharief Bhai, and Iceberg Ice Cream, among others. It has over 150 kitchens that cater to over 10 cuisines, across 15 cities in India.

EatFit: Where Healthy Meets Easy

Healthy food often carries the stereotype of being boring or difficult to access. EatFit challenges that perception by offering meals that are both nutritious and yummy at the same time.

The brand focuses on balanced meals made with clean ingredients, minimal oil, and strict hygiene standards. From wholesome filling bowls to regional dishes and protein-rich meals, EatFit aims to provide everyday food that supports a healthier lifestyle.

More importantly, EatFit operates through cloud kitchens, meaning customers can order healthy meals quickly through delivery apps without needing a physical restaurant nearby. This approach makes nutritious food more accessible to busy professionals, students, and fitness enthusiasts.

HRX by EatFit: Fuel for an Active Lifestyle

As the demand for fitness-focused food grew, Curefoods expanded its healthy offerings through HRX by EatFit. The brand was created in collaboration with fitness brand HRX, founded by Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan.

HRX by EatFit focuses on functional nutrition meals designed to support active lifestyles. These dishes typically include higher protein content, balanced carbohydrates, and portion-controlled calories to help customers maintain their fitness goals.

For gym-goers, athletes, or anyone trying to eat healthier, this concept provides a convenient solution: nutritious meals that support performance and wellness without the need for extensive meal prep.

A Wider Movement for Nutrition-based Food: More Startups like FoodDarzee

Curefoods is not the only company tapping into the health-focused food trend. Several startups in India are exploring similar ideas, each with its own approach. One such example is Food Darzee, a meal subscription service that focuses on customized diet plans.

Unlike cloud kitchen brands that operate through delivery platforms, Food Darzee offers personalized nutrition programs such as keto diets, weight-loss meals, and calorie-controlled plans. Customers receive pre-planned meals delivered daily, designed by nutritionists to support specific health goals.

This shows how the Indian food industry is evolving from simply delivering meals to providing structured nutrition solutions.

Why Healthy Cloud Kitchens Are the Future

The success of companies like Curefoods highlights a shift in consumer behavior. Modern consumers want food that fits into their lifestyle quick to order, convenient to consume, and supportive of their health.

Cloud kitchens make this possible by reducing operational costs, allowing brands to experiment with new concepts, and reaching customers through delivery platforms. At the same time, the growing awareness of fitness and wellness is increasing the demand for nutritious food options.

By combining these two trends, healthy cloud kitchens are becoming one of the fastest-growing segments in India’s food-tech industry.

The Future of Food Is Smart, Fast, and Healthy

Curefoods represents a new generation of food companies that blend technology with nutrition. Through brands like EatFit and HRX by EatFit, the company has made healthy eating more accessible and convenient for modern consumers.

In this age of ordering food from Swiggy & Zomato, it is very easy to get influenced in ordering food that  tastes good, satisfies cravings and doesn’t need much effort behind it. But what we as consumers don’t realise is that amongst our fast paced lives, we are somewhere forgetting to be healthy.

As more people prioritize wellness and time efficiency, cloud kitchens that focus on nutritious meals are likely to continue growing. The story of Curefoods shows that the future of food is not just about taste, it is about creating smarter, healthier ways to eat in a fast-moving world.
